　　江南文献，吴郡著称；风流辈出，代不乏人。天铎先生枯坐五十余年，遍阅百家，广结师友，赏玩品鉴，化为一身，所作均以“金石气”为旨归，异彩放乎毫端。书法四体皆精能，尤能以篆籀笔法演绎行草书，力沉千钧，古意盎然，时至今日，人书俱老，如黄钟大吕发达九地；篆刻秉承浙、皖二正宗，以三百年浙派刀法直追秦汉，更能使甲骨、吉金文字化作袖底烟云，刀笔相参，真篆真刻，于方寸间显露万千气象，令人叹为观止；初学西画，有一时之誉，转而专事国画，其师唐云先生评曰，“绘事以写意为旨趣，博涉诸家，于青藤、白阳、八大、大涤子、蒲作英、吴缶庐诸家用力尤勤，俱得精义，能入堂奥，学而善变，机杼自出”；中国传统艺术表现形式的巅峰，就是要将诗、书、画、印的独立创作，最终和合的落实到同一张纸上，先生以“三绝”面世，已然难望项背，能为此者，百年来不过三五家而已。

　　此次展览，汇集先生书画力作近百幅，平生志气，聚于一堂。观者有心，必能在虚空中洞见林散之老人赞叹其笔墨之语：“有境界，有魄力，浑浑瀚瀚，自成丘壑。”

　　作者简介：

　　钟天铎，原名恩惠、恩蔚，曾用名钟洪、汉簃，号受斋、涂客、二可居士。1943年生于苏州，祖籍浙江吴兴。少时以足疾克励自强，即以素描、水彩画见称于吴中。稍长则致力于传统书画，精山水、人物、花鸟诸画科，并雅善书法篆刻，尤长于鉴定书画文物。尝从学于唐云，学识日益猛进，有声于海内外。绘事以写意韵为旨趣，常博涉诸家，转益多师，究心于青藤、白阳、八大、大涤子、蒲作英、吴缶庐诸家。画学用力尤勤，能入其堂奥，学而善变，俱能得其精义，机杼自出。篆刻融合古今，继承发展形成自家风格。书画、篆刻作品，多次入选国内外展览，颇得时论好评。又曾应邀两度赴日本、三度赴新加坡进行艺术交流，其作品深得彼邦人士赞赏。已出版有《钟天铎书画作品集》（古吴轩出版社）、《受斋印谱》、文化部中国美术大事记《钟天铎艺术创作状态》（中国文史出版社）、《钟天铎临《礼器碑》》（中国美术学院出版社）等。

　　Zhong Tianduo’s Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition – Preface written by Li Kehan

　　江南是中国最为富足的地方，而鱼米之乡苏州，则是江南的文化重镇——历史上很多风流才子都生活、成名于此。钟天铎先生自幼成长于苏州城，他钟爱艺术，对大量专业书籍资料进行学习研究，同时也结交了很多老师和朋友一起探讨书法、篆刻、绘画、鉴定与收藏这几门学问，如今已经这样坚持五十多年了。

　　Regions south of the Yangtze River is the most affluent place in China. And Suzhou, “a land flowing with milk and honey”, is a city of cultural importance in regions south of the Yangtze River – many talented and romantic scholars in history lived and became famous here. Growing up in Suzhou city, Mr. Zhong Tianduo has a passion for art since childhood. He read plenty of professional books and materials, and also met a lot of teachers and friends, with whom he discusses calligraphy, seal cutting, painting, appraisal and collection. He has been doing so for more than 50 years.

　　钟氏的书法，艺术修养系统全面，作品气息古拙浑厚，力量感强烈。尤其能够用篆书的线条质感书写行草书，质朴老辣，气势宏大，让人感到震撼；他的篆刻作品，传承正宗，擅长用“浙派”刀法，不仅能演绎秦汉印章的风貌，还能表现出甲骨文、钟鼎文的神采——这种刻印的方法，现今已经很少见到了；他最初从事西画，并已在当时较有名气，随即又专门研究国画才取得了今天的硕果——他的老师唐云先生评价说：“钟天铎追求写意画的趣味，关注历史上的著名画家，尤其对徐渭、陈淳、朱耷、石涛、蒲华、吴俊等人最有研究，并且能够在学习前人的基础上表现出自己的特点。”

　　The calligraphy created by Mr. Zhong is full of systematic and comprehensive artistic culture, unsophisticated and vigorous atmosphere and power. In particular, he can write running script and cursive script with the lines of seal characters, which are simple and unscrupulous, imposing and grand, and really impressive; his seal cutting works inherit the orthodox school and are characterized by skillful “Zhe School” way of cutting, reflecting not only the style and features of seals in Qin and Han dynasties, but also the expression of inscriptions on bones or tortoise shells and inscriptions on ancient bronze objects – this way of seal cutting can be rarely seen today; he initially engaged in Western painting and was famous at that time, and then specialized in traditional Chinese painting, so he makes great achievements today. His teacher Mr. Tang Yun commented that “Zhong Tianduo pursues the fun of freehand brush work and pays attention to the famous painters in history, especially to Xu Wei, Chen Chun, Zhu Da, Shi Tao, Pu Hua, Wu Jun, etc., and then shows his own characteristics on the basis of predecessors.”

　　此次展览，汇集了钟氏近百幅书画力作。中国传统艺术表现形式的巅峰，就是要将诗歌、书法、绘画、篆刻这四种艺术的独立创作最终和谐的的落实到同一个画面中。擅长篆刻、书法、绘画的钟天铎氏，是百年来罕见的技艺全面的艺术家。

　　The exhibition brings together about one hundred of calligraphy and painting masterpieces created by Mr. Zhong. The highest state of traditional Chinese art expression is to put the independent creations of poetry, calligraphy, painting and seal cutting into a picture harmoniously. Mr. Zhong Tianduo is skilled at seal cutting, calligraphy and painting, being a rare skillful and comprehensive artist over the past century.
